If You Take the A Train
October 12 – Manhattan: My new home! Praise God for his provision! What perfection of timing and location! I have found a place to live while I transition to an apartment of my own.
Less than two years ago, I explored Harlem as a potential home. It is ideal in many ways. It is minutes (nay, moments) from midtown and the Village. It has a huge 24-hour grocery, which I need (and the store houses my bank and a pharmacy!). It has enormous ministry opportunities. It is also a new hotbed of development and change. And I am bound to discover some new barbecue joints and other wonderful eateries.
Who knows – I may even decide to audition for the Apollo Theater... Keep your Saturday nights available for an impromptu Showtime appearance!
However, if you take the A train, you will end up on the wrong side of Manhattan. I am on the East side. You can take the 4 Express Train or the 5 and 6 to get to the stop at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue. I am one block from the stop and less than fifteen minutes to midtown. You must take the A train
