July 12 – Mother mentioned our great-grandmother (Amanda’s mother) to me yesterday when we were talking about family recipes. I can’t recall ever hearing about her before (I don’t even know her name). That’s the thing about sharing recipes – there are always stories to go along with them.

I posted a cherry cobbler recipe from Betty Crocker’s Picture Cookbook (1956) on the family site today. If you’d like to share recipes and stories, send them to me and I’ll post them there. We can build an online family recipe book and history.
